How To Change The IP Address Of Your PC (Windows Tips & Tutorials)
It came to my notice that, some of my friends were looking for ways to change their IP addressess due some reasons best known to them.
Remembering that I know how, I decided to post it for you guys. I also change my IP address sometimes to take case of some personal stuffs while I'm online.
You too can also change your IP address like the way I do by just following this simple steps carefully
STEPS
1. On your home screen Click the "Start Button"
2. Among the lis
t of options "Click Run"
3. Type cmd and hit enter or ok (this opens the command prompt)
4. Type ipconfig/release and hit the enter key
5. Click Start>Control Panel and open Network Connections
6. Find the Active Local Area Connections right click on it and choose "Properties"
7. Double click on the Internet Protocol (Tcp/Ip)
8. Click on use the following IP address
9. Enter your preferred IP or enter incorrect IP like 123.123.123.123
10. Press Tab and the Subtract mask section will populate with different numbers.
I'm not sure if this will work perfectly on other operating systems but, I tried it on Windows XP and it worked
